Problem Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2020 Range Rover Evoque vehicles. The supplemental restraint system (SRS) warning light software is programmed incorrectly, which may cause the warning light to malfunction and intermittently illuminate. Risk An SRS system warning light that falsely illuminates could prevent the detection of an actual air bag system failure, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash. Fix Dealers will update the restraints control module (RCM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 23, 2022. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N664.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. N664 is the number Land Rover assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 22V080000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.

Common questions

Which vehicles does N664 cover?

2020 Land Rover Range Rover, 18,824 vehicles by the manufacturer’s count. A recall covers a build range, so the VIN decides whether one particular vehicle is in it.
