Problem Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2020 Range Rover Evoque vehicles. The fuse for the front and rear windshield washer system may fail and reduce driver visibility. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 104, "Windshield Wiping and Washing Systems." Risk The driver's reduced visibility can increase the risk of a crash. Fix Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuse for the front and rear washer systems, free of charge. In addition, the Engine Junction Box lid will be replaced and an owner's manual insert will be added with the updated fuse rating information. The recall is expected to begin August 2, 2019. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N341.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. N341 is the number Land Rover assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 19V421000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.
