Problem Aston Martin The Americas (Aston Martin) is recalling certain 2024-2025 DB12, 2025 Vantage, and 2025 DBX707 vehicles. The rearview camera image may be obstructed by the infotainment home screen menu when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility." Risk An obstructed rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. Fix The head unit software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 12, 2025. Owners may contact Aston Martin customer service at 1-888-923-9988. Aston Martin's number for this recall is RA-30-2015.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. RA-30-2015 is the number Aston Martin assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 25V001000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.

Common questions

Source: NHTSA, 49 CFR Part 573

Is RA-30-2015 the same recall as 25V001000?

Yes. RA-30-2015 is Aston Martin’s own number for it; 25V001000 is NHTSA’s. One recall, two references.

Which vehicles does RA-30-2015 cover?

2024–2025 Aston Martin DB12 V8 and 2 other Aston Martin models, 1,452 vehicles by the manufacturer’s count. A recall covers a build range, so the VIN decides whether one particular vehicle is in it.
