I have the very same issue that has been previously expressed on may 20th, 2019. I had my service done on the may 20th, only to be told about the 'spot weld' when I picked up the truck, after the repair was done. I too agree with this description the frustrations, issues and concerns.

I recently recurved a recall (v06) on my new Ram 2500. This recall required the jam nuts on the adjuster sleeve portion of the drag link to be welded in place. This affects the serviceability of the vehicle in that if an alignment is required the steering wheel will be off center because the component that is designed for this adjustment…
Ram issued a recall to weld the adjustment nut on the drag link. This is not the proper way to fix the problem. My truck has been to two different dealers and welded three times. The problem is still not fixed
