The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V653000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Electronic Stability Control(ESC)); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted.
This problem has happened Two times in the last couple weeks when slowing down it Stalls engages the emergency break and puts itself in park very dangerous I almost got rear-ended the second time it happened and to restart the vehicle, I have to manually turn the electronic emergency brake off, then proceeded to the starting Process
My traction control light and ABS light keeps coming on and off(doesn't stay on long enough to produce a code. Dealership noticed light came on but can't do anything(still have warranty) and is not on the recall list for my 2022 Ram Laramine???
Shortly after beginning to drive, I approached a stop sign and the parking brake automatically engaged, and I could not drive. I had to shut the truck off, manually disengage the parking brake and then I was able to drive again. This has happened 4 or 5 times over the past couple of months.
The contact called on behalf of his grandparents who owned a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while his grandfather was driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended.

- Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019, 2021-2024 Ram 1500 vehicles. Due to a software malfunction, the anti-lock brake system (ABS) control module may disable the electronic stability control system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems."
