Air Bags

Problem Pagani Automobili SpA (Pagani) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Huayra vehicles manufactured April 21, 2014, to July 29, 2016. In the affected vehicles, the driver side frontal air bag may not remain adequately secured to the steering wheel during deployment, and therefore the air bag may deploy improperly. Risk Improper deployment of the driver frontal air bag can increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash. Fix Pagani has notified owners, and dealers will change the fasteners on the steering wheel air bag assembly, free of charge. The recall began August 16, 2016. Owners may contact Pagani customer service at 1-415-350-7220.

Pagani automobile spa manufactures a sports car named the Huayra. I was an employee of the US subsidiary company, Pagani worldwide llc from march 1 2012 to june 30 2015. The Huayra was to be sold in the state of connecticut and I was the employee in charge of importation documentation and certifications.

Safety Signal starts every model-year at 100 and subtracts points per open NHTSA recall campaign by severity: critical 15 (fire risk, park-outside or do-not-drive advisories), high 8 (brakes, steering, airbags, loss of drive power, structure, battery), moderate 6, minor 3 (software, labels, lighting fixed by an update). The most serious recall counts in full and each further one counts 85% of the one before, because a vehicle sold in millions is recalled more often than a rare one without being more dangerous — and because a flat subtraction bottomed the scale out, scoring a vehicle with 22 recalls within a point of one with six. A ≥ 90, B ≥ 80, C ≥ 70, D ≥ 60, otherwise F. Read it as what it counts: recall campaigns on the federal record, weighted by severity.
