November 15 I was driving home from work as the truck started jerking. The system was giving me an engine failure drive with caution warning. I pulled over and decided the turn off the truck and turn it back on. Once I turned it back on it was revving on its own.
On December 25, 2024, my vehicle completely stalled in the middle of the highway while travelling at 65 mph. Fortunately there were no vehicles travelling in close proximity to me at the time as my speed rapidly decreased. The abrupt stall required me to pull over to the side of the road to attempt to restart.
I was waiting in a parking lot to pick up the kids from school. In park, the truck loses power and almost completely shuts down. When it Reva back up there was a horrible hammering noise. I turn the truck off. Then I called the dealership and told them. I cranked it and recorded it for them and then shut it off.
Engine started making noises. I had it towed to dealership to get it diagnosed. Dealership called me next morning to get information on what vehicle was doing. I called dealership that same evening and they informed me that the engine locked up on the tech diagnosing the issue, and I was going to need a new engine
Since brand new, the engine makes a significantly loud chirping sound at two occasions. First is every time the fuel saving auto start kicks in to start acceleration. The other is any time you come to a stop from above 25-35 MPH. At around 16 MPH, there is a loud chirping as you decelerate.
