During the installation process of the Power Port or Tire Inflator, the pre-wire connector is removed from the dummy cap (which is attached to the harness) and is left attached when power is connected. The purpose for the dummy cap is to prevent connector water intrusion/corrosion when the accessory is not installed.

Tacoma interior door handle will not open driver’s door. I was sitting in truck reading, engine off. I actuated the start button a couple of times to enable window lowering and lowered the windows. I actuated the start button again a couple of times so as to not drain battery. Suddenly the car alarm went off.

The door handle mechanism which is made of plastic broke on the inside of the door. It was the piece the cable connects to which pulls to release the door latch for opening. Only way to get out of door is to roll window down and open from outside the vehicle. Truck has 7k miles currently and no heavy use.
