Mercedes-Benz service campaign NCU - 2026040005

Mercedes-Benz filed this with NHTSA as a service campaign dated Apr 25, 2026, about the structure. It names 2 model years (2024–2025). A service campaign is not a safety recall — there is no NHTSA campaign number and no federal requirement — but it is usually work the manufacturer pays for on the vehicles it names; the dealer checks the VIN against the manufacturer’s list.

What the bulletin says

Source: NHTSA's summary of the manufacturer's communication

Mercedes-Benz AG (“MBAG), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain Model Year (“MY) 2025 CLE (236 platform) vehicles, the seam seal in the front left wheel arch does not meet current production specifications which could result in leaks and subsequent corrosion in that area. MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will rework the front left wheel arch seam seal on the affected vehicles.

The summary is NHTSA’s abstract of the document, as filed under 49 CFR 579.5; the full text comes from the manufacturer or a dealer. One communication is usually filed as several documents — the bulletin, a dealer notice, an owner letter — and the number on any of them finds this page. Quote it at a service desk; it is what the dealer’s system is keyed on.
