Work Procedure 1. Release the sealing frame (Figure 1, 1) in the area of the side window. 2. Carefully pry out the sealing lip (Figure 2, 2) from under the roof trim bar (Figure 2, 3) in the upper area of the side window. 3. Define the sealing area above the side window at approx. 28 cm from the joint (Figure 3, → A). 4. Completely fill the installation space above the side window behind the roof trim bar (Figure 4, 3) with sealant (Figure 4, → B). If necessary, dry the sealing area with compressed air. Watch out for possible sealant leaks and remove them if necessary. 5. Insert the sealing lip (Figure 5, 2) under the roof trim bar (Figure 5, 3) in the upper area of the side window. When inserting the sealing lip (Figure 5, 2), watch out for possible sealant leaks and remove them if necessary. 6. Fill sealant (Figure 5, → B) into the installation space behind the side window from the side. 7. Insert the sealing frame (Figure 6, 1) into the sealant (Figure 6, → B) behind the side window. When inserting the sealing frame (Figure 6, 1), watch out for possible sealant leaks and remove them if necessary. 8. Press the sealing frame (Figure 7, 1) back on in the area of the side window between the door seal and the B-pillar. Make sure the sealing frame (Figure 7, 1) is seated correctly on the headliner (Figure 7, 2). 9. Process the side window in the rear passenger compartment on the other side of the vehicle in the same way.
