Maserati service campaign RAPID UPDATE 687

Maserati filed this with NHTSA as a service campaign dated Sep 25, 2025, received Sep 30, 2025, about the unknown or other — 1 document under this number: MAS003889_A RU 25-26. It names 2 model years (2024). A service campaign is not a safety recall — there is no NHTSA campaign number and no federal requirement — but it is usually work the manufacturer pays for on the vehicles it names; the dealer checks the VIN against the manufacturer’s list.

What the bulletin says

Source: NHTSA's summary of the manufacturer's communication

Certain Maserati GranTurismo (M189) MY24 listed in MODISCS+ are involved in a Rapid Update to update the Integrated Center Stack (ICS) software. This software update improves the sensitivity of the touch screen. In rare instances, the ICS module may encounter sensitivity issues. It's crucial to emphasize that the overall functionality of the screen remains assured, and this concern specifically pertains to a less than optimal touch screen experience. We remind you that all the Rapid Updates must be performed within the first workshop visit, regardless of the Mandatory setting set in Modis, as required by Maserati policies. Also, for vehicles in Stock Dealer / PDI, it is necessary to carry out all action operations before delivery to the end customer, as required by the White Book and explicitly reported in the Predelivery checklist.

The summary is NHTSA’s abstract of the document, as filed under 49 CFR 579.5. One communication is usually filed as several documents — the bulletin, a dealer notice, an owner letter — and the number on any of them finds this page. A PDF link is shown only once NHTSA’s own server has been seen to serve that document; the rest are checked over the following nights. Quote the number at a service desk; it is what the dealer’s system is keyed on.
