While driving my dash will suddenly state "service shifter" and all my gear shifter lights will be lit up. The only way I get them off is I have to pull over, stop, turn vehicle off, and restart it. This has happen in town and on the highway. This has happened now several times over approximately 4 months now.

Within a 2 weeks after I bought the Jeep, while driving my brand new Jeep Cherokee trail-rated, going over speed bumps at a very low speed 3-5 miles ph, I heard a grinding noise coming from the transmission.
