Honda bulletin A20030B
Honda filed this with NHTSA as a manufacturer communication dated Jun 6, 2025, received Apr 2, 2020, about the structure — 3 documents under this number. It names 12 model years (2018–2025). A manufacturer communication is not a safety recall: it is the manufacturer telling its dealers how to diagnose or repair a condition, and whether the work is paid for depends on the warranty in force. Quoting the number at a service desk can save a diagnosis.
What the bulletin says
Source: NHTSA's summary of the manufacturer's communicationService News - Honda has received reports of broken fuel fill door clips. From our investigation, Honda has found that the reason could be customers are trying to pull open the fuel fill door, not realizing it's been locked by the Walk Away Auto Lock feature. When activated, the Walk Away Auto Lock feature locks all the doors, including the fuel fill door, when your customer walks away from the vehicle with the key fob. Pulling on the fuel fill door while it's locked can break the clip. To fix this issue, the fuel fill door clip must be replaced.
