The vehicle may or may not exhibit a perceived lack of power intermittently. This may be due to an issue with the following connectors associated with the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor circuits: -C115B -C175B -C2040 Replacement of the accelerator pedal may not resolve this concern. Perform a wiggle test of the connectors while the engine is at normal operating temperature. Perform a visual inspection of the connectors as well as a terminal fit test using the appropriately sized flex probe. Repair as necessary. Refer to Wiring Diagram Cell 005. If no concerns are found, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 310-02 for normal diagnostics.

My Ford Ranger is on a safety recall. They sold it to us on May 9,2025 then kept the truck. June 1 they told use the recall issue was solved. We were not given documents on this. We are now seeing the parts needed are not available until the end of June. A Fedaral and State law was broken in selling us a vehicle on a safety recall.

This vehicle had an open safety recall at the time the dealership sold it to me. The recall existed before the sale and the dealership knew or should have known about it. The dealer submitted loan paperwork and accepted funding but never delivered the vehicle to me. I was not informed of the open recall before signing.

The contact stated while attempting to start the vehicle depressing the brake pedal, heard a clunking noise and on for second the vehicle attempts to move while in park. The contact mention he could hear clunking sound coming from the front of the vehicle. A dealer was contacted.
