The only way I could explain it was as if my brakes were failing. After joining the bmw i4 group on Facebook and having my kids record while driving. I was able to capture the issue. The vehicle drive train will malfunction causing the vehicle to move while not in motion when at a stop light. The vehicle will accelerate on its on.

Using the recorded path feature to back into my garage as I have done many times before. I was alert, attentive and ready to act if needed. All started out ok and then the car automatically accelerated aggressively and I hit the brakes but too late as car backed into my garage HVAC unit.

My BMW's Head-Up Display (HUD) and Speed Limit Information system displays incorrect speed limits that do not match posted roadway signs. The HUD frequently shows "LTM" or an incorrect speed such as "25 mph" instead of the actual posted speed limit. This is a serious safety concern.
