Theprocess does not cause any damage during assembly. The result being these units are not required to bepart of the current ongoing recall “61 07 24 Recall 24V-557: Replace Starter Relay�. However, these units were produced with a semiconductor style starter relay and we are moving to the newelectromechanical starter relay. As of model year 2025 units in series production at the factory, the conversion to the new styleelectromechanical starter relay will be carried out.
