Problem Triple E Recreational Vehicles (Tirple E) is recalling certain 2017 Wonder motorhomes, model W24MB. These vehicles are missing the 'Exit' decal that should have been installed on the driver side cab door. Risk If the 'Exit' decal is missing, in the event of an emergency, occupants may not remember that the driver side cab door is an exit, increasing their risk of a injury. Fix Triple E has notified owners and sent them an 'Exit' decal to install, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2017. Owners may contact Triple E customer service at 1-877-992-9906. Triple E's number for this recall is CA #8593-1.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. CA #8593-1 is the number Triple E RV assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 17V188000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.
