Problem Suzuki Motor USA, LLC (Suzuki) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Burgman 400 (AN400AM3-M5) scooters. The fuel supply hose assembly may contact the fuel vapor hose assembly, causing the fuel supply hose to become damaged and leak fuel. Risk A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of fire. Fix Owners are advised that if they must ride the scooter before the safety recall repair has been completed, they should check the scooter for fuel leakage and proper operation as outlined in the "Inspection before riding" checklist in the owner's manual. Dealers will replace the fuel supply hose assembly and fuel vapor hose assembly with new parts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 10, 2025. Owners may contact Suzuki customer service at 1-800-934-0934. Suzuki's number for this recall is 3A05.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. 3A05 is the number Suzuki assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 24V923000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.

Common questions

Is 3A05 the same recall as 24V923000?

Yes. 3A05 is Suzuki’s own number for it; 24V923000 is NHTSA’s. One recall, two references.

Which vehicles does 3A05 cover?

2023–2025 Suzuki AN400, 556 vehicles by the manufacturer’s count. A recall covers a build range, so the VIN decides whether one particular vehicle is in it.

Does the 3A05 repair cost anything?

No. The manufacturer must remedy a safety defect at no charge for vehicles up to 15 years old from first sale.
