Problem Oshkosh Corporation (Oshkosh Defense) is recalling certain 2025-2026 NGDV vehicles. The mounting pin and retaining clip that retain the brake actuator rod to the brake pedal may not have been installed. Risk An unsecured brake pedal can separate from the actuator, causing a loss of braking ability and increase the risk of a crash. Fix Oshkosh Defense will inspect and install the mounting pin and retaining clip as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on February 16, 2026. Owners may contact Oshkosh Defense customer service at 1-833-304-8100. Oshkosh Defense's number for this recall is NGDV_TSB_059.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. NGDV_TSB_059 is the number Oshkosh assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 26V074000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.
