Problem Lamborghini (Automobili Lamborghini) is recalling certain 2020 Aventador SVJ Coupe and Aventador SVJ Roadster vehicles. Due to potentially damaged aluminum frame threads, the front frame suspension arm anchor bolt may have been insufficiently tightened. Risk The loose suspension arm anchor bolts may cause the suspension arm joint to collapse, resulting in a loss of control of the vehicle and increasing the risk of injury or a crash. Fix All of the affected vehicles are in dealer possession and owner letters do not need to be mailed. Dealers will inspect and replace the front frame, free of charge. The recall began October 8, 2020. Owners may contact Lamborghini customer service at 1-866-681-6276. Lamborghini's number for this recall is L73X-R.03.20.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. L73X-R.03.20 is the number Lamborghini assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 20V618000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.
