Problem Lamborghini (Automobili Lamborghini) is recalling certain 2020 Aventador SVJ Coupe and Aventador SVJ Roadster vehicles. The interior door handle mechanism may fail, resulting in the vehicle's door being unable to be opened by using the inside door handle. Risk If a door cannot be opened with the interior handle in the case of an emergency, it can increase the risk of injury for the driver or passenger. Fix Lamborghini will notify owners, and dealers will replace the interior door handle, free of charge. The recall began April 29, 2020. Owners may contact Lamborghini customer service at 1-866-681-6276. Lamborghini's number for this recall is L73X-R.02.20.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. L73X-R.02.20 is the number Lamborghini assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 20V151000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.
