Problem Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Keystone Raptor recreational trailers. The quick disconnect rubber propane line may be incorrectly routed, allowing the outside grill to be stored while the fuel supply is still on and the flame is still lit. Risk If the grill is stored while the flame is still lit, it can increase the risk of a fire. Fix Keystone has notified owners, and dealers will replace the quick disconnect rubber propane line with a line that must be disconnected prior to storing the grill, free of charge. The recall began on January 14, 2019. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 19-343.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. 19-343 is the number Keystone assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 18V871000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.
