Problem Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2025 International LT vehicles. Two wires in the taillight jumper harness may be reversed, causing the turn signal to activate in the opposite direction of what the driver intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Risk Turn signals that do not function as intended may confuse other road users, increasing the risk of a crash. Fix Dealers will replace the taillight jumper harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 15, 2024. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 24506.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. 24506 is the number International assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 24V180000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.
