Problem Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Vibe recreational trailers, model ORVBT236RBS-64. The Federal Placard has incorrect rear tire information, indicating ST205/75R15C tires inflated to 50psi, when the actual tires are size ST225/75R15D inflated to 65psi. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims." Risk The incorrect tire information can cause the operator to install the wrong size and load range of replacement tires, or underinflate the existing tires. Either condition increases the risk of a crash. Fix Forest River will notify owners will provide them a corrected Federal Placard, free of charge. The recall began on June 6, 2017. Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. 64-05232017-0413 is the number Forest River assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 17V346000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.
