Problem REV Recreation Group (REV) is recalling certain 2019 Fleetwood Flair and Holiday Rambler Admiral motorhomes. The metal battery hold down straps or their mounting brackets may contact the terminals for the auxiliary batteries, possibly resulting in a short circuit. Risk A battery short circuit may increase the risk of a fire. Fix REV will notify owners, and dealers will rework the motorhomes to prevent the auxiliary batteries from shorting against the battery hold down straps and strap mounting brackets, free of charge. The recall began May 8, 2019. Owners may contact REV customer service at 1-800-509-3417. REV's number for this recall is 190318REV.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. 190318REV is the number Fleetwood assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 19V224000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.
