Problem Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2027 Entegra Qwest and Jayco Melbourne Prestige recreational vehicles. The taillight harness may have been manufactured with an incorrect resistor. The defective harness may cause the warning light to illuminate on the instrument panel display when the taillights are functioning correctly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Control and Displays." Risk The incorrect warning light may fail to alert the driver to critical safety information or cause confusion, increasing the risk of a crash. Fix Dealers will replace the taillight harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 30, 2026. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903667.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. 9903667 is the number Entegra assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 26V555000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.
