Problem Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2018-2024 Coachmen Adrenaline and 2020-2024 Work and Play fifth wheels and travel trailers. The side marker lights may not reflect light as intended, which can make it difficult for other drivers to see the trailer. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Risk Non-reflective side marker lights can reduce the trailer's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. Fix Dealers will install reflector stickers, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 5, 2023. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-825-6302. Forest River's number for this recall is 320-1697.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. 320-1697 is the number Coachmen assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 23V738000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.
