Problem Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2025 ACTT (Xspotter) vehicles. A software error may allow the vehicle to exceed the speed governor limit. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 136, "Electronic Stability Control Systems on Heavy Vehicles." Risk Driving at speeds greater than 33 mph can result in a loss of handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash. Fix Dealers will update the vehicle and drive motor software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 30, 2025. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACTT-2402.

Two numbers, one recall

Every safety recall carries two identifiers. ACTT-2402 is the number Autocar assigned in its own system: it is what appears on the owner letter, on the dealer’s service screen and on the repair order. 24V819000 is the number NHTSA filed the same recall under when the manufacturer reported it, and it is the one every federal record, this site included, is keyed on.

The repair is free by federal law for vehicles up to fifteen years old. Whether one particular vehicle is included is settled by its VIN against the manufacturer’s build list, not by its model year.

Check one specific vehicle

Both lookups check a VIN against the manufacturer’s own list and say whether the repair is still outstanding on that vehicle.
