Stellantis bulletin S2508000012

What it saysCustomer Indicates Collision Avoidance System/Blind Spot Alert Cluster Message NHTSA’s full summary ↓

Stellantis filed this with NHTSA as a service bulletin dated Jun 25, 2025, received Feb 11, 2025, about the back over prevention — 2 documents under this number: S2508000012 REV. A and 1 more. It names 4 model years across Jeep and Dodge (2024–2025). A service bulletin is not a safety recall: it is the manufacturer telling its dealers how to diagnose or repair a condition, and whether the work is paid for depends on the warranty in force. Quoting the number at a service desk can save a diagnosis.

The summary is NHTSA’s abstract of the document, as filed under 49 CFR 579.5. One communication is usually filed as several documents — the bulletin, a dealer notice, an owner letter — and the number on any of them finds this page. A PDF link is shown only once NHTSA’s own server has been seen to serve that document; the rest are checked over the following nights. Quote the number at a service desk; it is what the dealer’s system is keyed on.

What owners reported

Source: NHTSA complaint database

Owners of the 4 model years this bulletin names have filed 208 complaints with NHTSA since 2015. 162 of them name Electrical System, Forward Collision Avoidance — the same broad component group this bulletin is filed under. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so that means the same area of the vehicle, not necessarily the same fault.

This happened twice but the second time could've caused a serious accident. I was turning left through an intersection and the vehicle on the opposite side of the road was turning left (we were going opposite directions) When the other vehicle got "close" to me (not close enough to crash) my collision assistance/automatic emergency…

2025 Jeep Wagoneer · Forward Collision Avoidance · filed with NHTSA Jun 18, 2026

For the past year I have been dealing with multiple vehicle failures with our 2025 Jeep Wagoneer. I have worked with my dealer a dozen times. Adnt he vehicle has been under service for roughly 13 weeks. Each time the dealership tells me the issue was a software update or they were not able to "recreate the issue".

2025 Jeep Wagoneer · Electrical System · filed with NHTSA Jul 10, 2026

I am reporting an ongoing electrical/charging system problem with my 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T. During August 2026 alone, my vehicle has been taken to the Dodge dealership four times for electrical-related problems, recalls, software updates, and/or repairs.

2024 Dodge Charger · Electrical System · filed with NHTSA Aug 14, 2026

A complaint is one owner’s account, not a defect finding, and a bulletin is not a recall. Nothing here says this bulletin was issued because of these complaints, or that the repair it describes fixed them. Complaint files on this site begin in 2015.

Common questions

Source: NHTSA, 49 CFR 579.5

Is Stellantis S2508000012 a recall?

No. A service bulletin is a manufacturer communication filed with NHTSA under 49 CFR 579.5; a safety recall carries an NHTSA campaign number (two digits, a letter, six digits) and a federal duty to repair for free. Check the vehicle’s recalls by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls, or on its page here.

Is the S2508000012 repair free?

Not automatically. A service bulletin describes how to diagnose or repair a condition; who pays depends on the warranty in force, any extension, and the dealer. Quoting the number can save a diagnosis either way.

Which vehicles does S2508000012 cover?

The manufacturer filed it against 4 model years across 2 brands (Jeep and Dodge): 2025 Dodge Charger, 2024 Dodge Charger, 2025 Jeep Wagoneer, 2024 Jeep Wagoneer. Whether one particular vehicle is affected is a matter of its VIN and its build, not its model year alone.
