Stellantis bulletin 9100767
What it saysVerify "Z" part number availability. NHTSA’s full summary ↓
Stellantis filed this with NHTSA as a service bulletin dated Feb 16, 2026, received Mar 5, 2026, about the electrical system. It names 6 model years across Jeep and Ram (2022–2024). A service bulletin is not a safety recall: it is the manufacturer telling its dealers how to diagnose or repair a condition, and whether the work is paid for depends on the warranty in force. Quoting the number at a service desk can save a diagnosis.

The summary is NHTSA’s abstract of the document, as filed under 49 CFR 579.5. One communication is usually filed as several documents — the bulletin, a dealer notice, an owner letter — and the number on any of them finds this page. A PDF link is shown only once NHTSA’s own server has been seen to serve that document; the rest are checked over the following nights. Quote the number at a service desk; it is what the dealer’s system is keyed on.

What owners reported
Source: NHTSA complaint databaseOwners of the 6 model years this bulletin names have filed 1,626 complaints with NHTSA since 2015. 598 of them name Electrical System — the same broad component group this bulletin is filed under. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so that means the same area of the vehicle, not necessarily the same fault.
On the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the 31 owners who gave an odometer reading for Electrical System reported it at a median of 18,000 miles. That figure is one model year’s, not the whole range this bulletin covers — medians from different model years are not averaged.
There is a loud humming/tumbling sound when decelerating at lower roms. It is very loud, obnoxious, and distracting. It was so loud that I couldn’t hear an emergency vehicle coming up behind me to get over. I have found 100’s of complaints on forums with the same issue with the 5th gen rams.

Generally, for the entire time we've owned the car, it has ongoing and systemic electronics malfunctions. This ranges from the car slamming on its own brakes while driving to systems not working to the seat shifting on its own while driving to false positives in the NAV system, etc.

I bought this vehicle used form Carmax, <12000 miles. Drove about 12 miles, when while parking I noticed the car stopped and asked to start engine and engage gear again. Didn't think much of it. Then started driving again and the check engine light turned on.
2023 Jeep Wagoneer · Electrical System · filed with NHTSA Oct 12, 2024
A complaint is one owner’s account, not a defect finding, and a bulletin is not a recall. Nothing here says this bulletin was issued because of these complaints, or that the repair it describes fixed them. Complaint files on this site begin in 2015.

Common questions
Source: NHTSA, 49 CFR 579.5Is Stellantis 9100767 a recall?
No. A service bulletin is a manufacturer communication filed with NHTSA under 49 CFR 579.5; a safety recall carries an NHTSA campaign number (two digits, a letter, six digits) and a federal duty to repair for free. Check the vehicle’s recalls by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls, or on its page here.
Is the 9100767 repair free?
Not automatically. A service bulletin describes how to diagnose or repair a condition; who pays depends on the warranty in force, any extension, and the dealer. Quoting the number can save a diagnosis either way.
Which vehicles does 9100767 cover?
The manufacturer filed it against 6 model years across 2 brands (Jeep and Ram): 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2023 Jeep Wagoneer, 2024 Ram 1500, 2023 Ram 1500, 2022 Ram 1500. Whether one particular vehicle is affected is a matter of its VIN and its build, not its model year alone.
